We continue to monitor the winter weather in coordination with the National Weather Service and Denton County Emergency Management. The Extreme cold advisory is in place until 9 AM Tuesday.

Hickory Creek Town offices will be closed on Monday, January 26 due to ongoing safety risk with travel. If you have a citation due the court will be extending the due date. Our Public Works Department continues to remain on standby and our Police Department continues to be in full operation.

Follow the four “P’s” of winter weather safety:

People - Keep your family warm and check on any elderly family or neighbors who may need extra blankets, help winterizing their homes, or a warm place to stay.

Pets - Bring your dogs and cats inside to keep them healthy and safe.

Plants - Cover plants or bring them inside to keep them warm.

Pipes - Cover exposed pipes to prevent freezing and breaks.
