
Lynn Clark

Lynn Clark was first elected to the Hickory Creek Council in May 2007, then re-elected in May 2009 and May 2011. She has served at Mayor Pro Tem since May 2010. In addition to her Council duties, Clark is a founding member of the Hickory Creek Economic Development Corporation (since 2003), served as Treasurer from 2003 to 2008, and is the current President of the EDC.
Clark says, “During the past 4 years, I’ve gained immeasureable experience in the workings of local government, town budgeting, and the role development plays in building a healthy tax base so that citizens are not too heavily burdened with property tax.”
She has met with engineers, DCTA officials, TxDOT, various Town boards & staff, always working to provide the best service for the lowest cost for Hickory Creek citizens.
Along with Councilman Wiser, Lynn Clark represents Hickory Creek in the TxDOT stakeholder meetings, has voiced Hickory Creek’s concerns through the planning stage, and helped secure a sound wall for neighborhoods which will be impacted by the expansion of I-35. She is currently involved in planning the aesthetics package for the new highway, giving Hickory Creek a “voice” in the look of the road as it bisects our community.
Clark graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, TX) in 1975, with a degree in History and Literature. She retired as the Executive Director of the Texas Association of Rental Agencies in October 2006.
Clark has been married for 39 years to Bob Clark, a captain for Southwest Airlines. They have 2 sons and daughters-in-law and 5 grandchildren. Clark says, ”My greatest joy comes in being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and a volunteer for Hickory Creek.”
