Using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and weekly fuel prices published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the Town Council approved a rate increase at a special council meeting in mid-September.
Effective October 1, 2019, non-senior residential customers will see an increase of $0.46 per month and senior customers will see an increase of $0.32 per month. Commercial customers will also see an increase by 2.75% monthly. State and local taxes will be adjusted accordingly.
